Dear Rousseau families,

JSB would like to welcome your participation in a Community Fridge Vegetable and Fruit drive.  We invite students to donate one whole piece of fruit or a vegetable during the week of May 8 to 12.  The fresh produce will be collected every morning and donated to 1 of 5 community fridges in Hamilton.

“Community fridges are a volunteer run, publicly accessible, low barrier resource, from which community members can get free food. Fridges are filled by donations from other community people and businesses. Community fridges with 24/7 access, in which anyone in the neighbourhood can take or leave food donations, in the spirit of mutual aid.”
