International Day of Pink: Wear Pink shirts on April 12th!

This Wednesday is the International Day of Pink!

We all belong! Students and staff across Canada will wear pink shirts as a symbol of acceptance this Wednesday, April 12th. Students across HWDSB and everyone are invited to wear a pink shirt if they have one. We are proud of our Rousseau students for being accepting of the diversity of our school community. Students receive regular messages at our school about the importance of accepting others, being welcoming, and standing up and speaking out appropriately when others are marginalized or bullied.

According to the International Day of Pink website,

“Day of Pink represents authenticity and allyship, but most importantly, it represents the courage to take on all these actions. We believe when we wear pink on Day of Pink April 12th, 2023, we join the stance in having the courage to be yourself, to be kind, and so much more.”
