Rousseau Book Drive – Jan. 30th – Feb. 14th, 2023

Donated resources are expected to meet the same standards of quality and relevance to the school Library (“Learning Commons”) collection as new titles. They should support the curriculum and student interests as well as meet the collection development and cataloguing guidelines and policies, in regard to publishing date (published between 2013-2023), content (high interest for students in K-6), physical condition (no damaged items-no mark-ups, tears, water damage, overall wear) , format (picture books, chapter books, graphic novels, etc.) The learning commons staff make final decisions regarding the suitability of donations and has the right to dispose of any gift materials that do not meet the library’s collection needs and policy guidelines. Where possible, donors will be contacted to see if they want donated materials returned to them if the materials are not to be added to the school collection.
