School evacuated, caution related to original gas leak

Dear Families,

Our school evacuated today as a precaution related to a suspicious odour detected in the building.

The fire alarm was pulled and the Hamilton Fire Department responded. A limited level of gas was detected and we have learned that this is related to yesterday’s maintenance. The third-party service provider completed supplementary repairs today.

An ambulance was at our school as additional support. All students and staff were safe during the brief evacuation.
