We love dogs, but …

As we enjoy this great weather it is an easy choice to provide our pets with some exercise as we accompany our children on a walk to or from school. We know that children can learn many things from animals including empathy, respect and responsibility. We also know that up to 30 percent of people are allergic to pet dander and that some adults and children are fearful or uncomfortable around animals including dogs. In keeping with HWDSB protocols, we respectfully ask Rousseau families not to bring animals on to our playground. Thank you for your support as we strive to make our school a welcoming and safe place for all students.
