Friendly Reminder Celebration Day – OCT 31st

Monday October 31 is quickly approaching.  Given the weather forecast of rain on Monday we are going to default to an indoor invitation for the celebration parade.

Being mindful that Halloween may not be celebrated and/or align with some of our beliefs.  We encourage students to dress in orange and black, Fall colours or costumes (NO face masks or paint, props (swords, knifes, axes, guns etc.)).  We want this to be inclusive for all students.

We will be maintaining the tradition of the parade for grades K – 3/ 4 Deans class starting at 9:15.  Our hope is the parade starts promptly and we are resuming regular instruction by 10 am.  Parents will be welcome to attend in person and line the perimeter of the Small gym and overflow along the hallway by the office towards the Kindergarten area (if needed). We ask that no photos be taken for the safety of all students.

There is a dance for the Intermediate students.  There will be snacks for sale during the dance (cash only).

We want to ensure proper hygiene around class snacks and ask that all snacks are individually prepackaged and nut free   We are discouraging the large snack items, anything that is homemade or prepared (because of allergies) and/or involve students sharing and passing around due to Covid, colds and flu season.
