Pizza Days are Coming Back to Riddell

Dear Parents/ Guardians:

Welcome back to another great year at R.A. Riddell School. We will continue to have pizza days on Thursdays – served during the SECOND nutrition break (1:14). Our pizza provider is Topper’s Pizza.  We will only be ordering CHEESE pizza to adhere with the nutritional guidelines outlined by the school board.

The price for a slice of pizza is $2.00.  Pizza orders will only be available online this year. You may order online one month at a time or pay for the whole year in advance by selecting all months.  Monthly orders close the last Sunday of the previous month. For example, October online orders close at midnight on Sunday, September 30th, November orders will close at midnight on Sunday, October 28th, and so on.

Pay online using your School Cash Online Account.  The pizza lunch program runs every Thursday from October 4th to Thursday May 30th.  There are no pizza lunches in June due to the many trips and activities in the last month.

Each year, funds raised from pizza lunches are used to enhance the school and classroom programs.  This year funds will continue to support technology purchasing, excursion subsidies (including sporting events), Grade 8 graduation, community supports, and school-wide initiatives.

Volunteers Needed

We need help to distribute all the pizza to the children! At least 50 boxes of pizza arrive each week that need to be sorted by class and delivered.  If you are able to volunteer on a regular basis on Thursday (between 12:30-1:30) please contact Mrs. Gilmour by calling the school at 905-387-3350.
