September 2018 School Start

Welcome, Riddell Families.  Our staff members are eager and ready to start a new school year.  Families are reminded that our start time is 8:50 am.  We will meet all Grade 1-8 students in the back play area on Tuesday morning. Classroom teachers will be outside and carrying signs to identify themselves.  We will also have several staff members available to assist you if you are unsure about a classroom assignment or how to find a teacher.

Current SK students are reminded that school does not start until Wednesday, September 5.  Kindergarten teachers will meet their students at 8:50 am on Wednesday in the Kindergarten area in the front of the school.

For students who travel by bus, HWSTS has advised the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board (HWDSB) that a bus driver shortage continues to impact local school bus routes.  Families are encouraged to sign up for email notifications of delays and cancellations on the HWSTS website www.hamiltonschoolbus.ca.

Bus route notifications were sent out to all students who are eligible for transportation.  Only eligible students will be able to ride the bus.  Please assure that you have made alternate transportation arrangements if you are a past courtesy rider.  Courtesy forms are available in the office and will be reviewed once all eligible riders have been confirmed.
