Welcome Back

Dear families,

We are excited to welcome students back to class for the 2025-26 school year.

We are thrilled to see students, staff and families again. Each new year is a new opportunity for students to reach their full potential, make new connections and learn and grow with their school community.

A friendly reminder that the first day of school will be Tuesday September 2, 2025

We also invite families to keep up with communications from HWDSB by subscribing to email updates or following HWDSB on social media.

Here are some important points to remember as students prepare for the start of the school year:

 

Parking

Parents & caregivers may park in the parking lot on the west side of the school (nearest the Kindergarten area) or curbside.  If you are parking curbside, please follow any signage and do not block our neighbours’ driveways.  Do not park in the bus zone right in front of the school.  Please do not drop off or park in the lot on the east side of the school as this is for staff parking only.

 

School Day Schedule

Our school day is from 8:20am until 2:40pm

Students may begin arriving and supervision begins at  8:05am  (Students should not arrive prior to this time)

Instructional Block 1:  8:20-10:20

Nutrition Break 1:  10:20-11:00

Instructional Block 2:  11:00-12:40

Nutrition Break 2:  12:40-1:20

Instructional Block 3:  1:20-2:40

Dismissal:  2:40pm

For students that who do not ride the bus to from school, parents/caregivers must pick up at this time.  Students in Gr. 1 to 6 can be dropped off and picked up from the back playground.  Students in Kindergarten can be dropped off and picked up from the Kindergarten playground on the west side of the school.
