Principal’s Update – News and Notes – April 23, 2024

Hello Lake Avenue families!

It’s been a wonderful few weeks as the new Principal at Lake Avenue. I am so grateful for the kindness and warm welcome from both staff and students and I know I am going to love getting to know all the families better over the coming years. I know there have been many changes this year in our school leadership and I am pleased to have landed here as your premanent Principal. I was a Vice Principal for three years before serving in different communities as Principal for the last nine. Together with our Vice Principal, Mrs. Tyrrell, we will work hard to give your children the best experience possible at school.

This is a busy school and I will post updates on our website to keep you informed of the many things going on here.

May 3 – School wide jersey day. Celebrate your favourite teams by wearing a jersey, your team coulours, or our school colours

May 8 – HWDSB Director’s visit to Lake Ave.

May 9 – Open House 3:30-5:00 (All welcome)

May 10 – Lake Ave spirit day – wear green and gold or your Lake Ave spirit wear
