Water Testing for Lead Results

Dear Parents, Guardians and Caregivers

Recently, our school underwent water testing for lead, in accordance with the provincial regulations (O.Reg 243/07).

As a result of this testing of unflushed pipes, we identified a concern with two sinks. One sink had its lead levels reduced to acceptable levels by resuming flushing, the other did not. As a result, preventative actions have been taken, which includes temporarily removing the one sink from service. The plumbing in the school will continue to be flushed every morning before students enter the building.
