Flamborough Centre Elementary School has initiated a Capital Project to replace the septic system. Planning has commenced with the procurement of a consultant team, including a Geotechnical Consulting Firm and Wastewater Engineer. Investigations have started with the drilling of boreholes and monitoring wells.
The Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) is working with the consultant team to confirm next steps to obtain the environmental compliance approval (ECA).
The current septic system is working as intended to support an increased student population for the 2024-25 school year. HWDSB is compiling an operations and maintenance plan in conformance with the MECP to continue to support the Flamborough Centre school population.
HWDSB has retained a consultant to provide additional parking spots to support the increased student population for 2024-25 school year. The additional parking spots will be in place for September 2024 and located at the front of the school, adjacent to the existing lot.
