Parent Council Letter Nov. 29, 2024

Dear Eastdale Friends & Families,

We know how important it is to stay informed and engaged in our school community. In
response to feedback for more active communication, we are working with the school
on a communication plan so that parents and guardians can feel confident that they are
aware of the many great things that are going on at Eastdale. As part of this
communication plan, we will be sharing a monthly school calendar that will outline
various school events, important dates, and include necessary links. The calendar will
provide an overview of school events and activities, but will not include details specific
to your child(ren)’s class.

To save paper, the calendar and all future communication from Eastdale School Council
will be shared virtually so please make sure to sign up for at least one of the virtual
platforms where school information is shared. Virtual platforms include:

– Eastdale and HWDSB Emails: https: //www.hwdsb.on.ca/about/media/subscribe/
★ Be sure to select Eastdale from the list of schools to receive Eastdale
specific communications
– SchoolCash Online: https: //hwdsb.schoolcashonline.com/Home/SignIn
★ SchoolCash Online is the only accepted payment method for school
events and activities, opt in to emails for payment reminders for things like
pizza day and field trips

Should you prefer a paper copy of the calendar, limited copies will be available at the
main office.
