From January to March 2026, Public Health will offer in-school clinics for secondary students who are behind on Grade 7 vaccines or missing immunizations required under the Immunization of School Pupils Act (ISPA). These clinics help students avoid suspension due to incomplete records and reduce barriers to vaccination. To facilitate our students having access to their vaccines, Public Health will be at DVSS on Thursday February 5th during the school day hours. Students will be called down by grade to receive their vaccinations.
Please see attached file from Public Health which outlines which vaccines will be reviewed for compliance.

Please note, that our school staff at DVSS do not keep medical records of our students, so if you have any questions or concerns about whether your student is up to date on their vaccines you will need to direct your call to Public Health (please see below for contact information) and not the school.
Hamilton Public Health will continue ISPA enforcement throughout 2025–2026, including suspension orders for students without up-to-date records or valid exemptions. Offering these clinics aims to minimize suspensions.
Thank you for your support in ensuring students have access to required immunizations.
