Feb 8: Public Health Vaccine Catch-Up

Hamilton Public Health will be coming to Dundas Valley Secondary School on Wed., Feb. 8th, 2023.
They will offer vaccines to students who may be behind in their vaccinations.
Vaccines that will be offered at the clinic are vaccines that are required under the Immunizations of School Pupils Act and vaccines that are usually offered in Grade 7.  This includes vaccinations for:

  • Tetanus,
    Diphtheria,
    Pertussis, and
    Polio (Tdap-IPV)
  • Tetanus,
    Diphtheria,
    and Pertussis (Tdap)
  • Measles,
    Mumps and
    Rubella (MMR)
  • Meningitis (Men-C-ACYW135)
  • Human Papillomavirus (HPV9)
  • Hepatitis B (Hep B)
  • Polio (IPV)

In preparation please ensure that your child’s record is up to date by visiting www.hamilton.ca\reportingvaccines or sending your child’s vaccine record with them on the date of the clinic.
Your child does not have to attend the clinic.  Please talk to your child about vaccines and whether you would like them to attend.
Nurses from public health will be calling students down to the clinic by grade.  Students who do not want to receive vaccine can remain in their classroom.
