Balaclava School Update – Week of June 23 – 27

This is it! We’re down to one week left of school for this school year.

On Monday, our K to 6 students will be participating in a special movie showing in the gym, complete with movie snacks.

On Tuesday, K to 6 students will be doing Tie Dye with their class. No need to send in any items to dye – each student will be given a cotton tote bag to decorate and bring home.

On Wednesday, K to 6 students will be participating in a Water Playday. Students will want to wear clothing/footwear that can get wet. They would do well to bring a dry change of clothes as well. Don’t forget a hat and sunscreen for some added protection. Our grade 7 students will be acting as event leaders.

Wednesday will also see all of our K to 7 students bring home their report cards.

Thursday will be our last day of school for students. It is a regular school day with dismissal at 3:35.

Friday is a PA day for staff and there is no school for students.

Thank you to all of the families who came out to Commencement this past week to celebrate the Balaclava Class of 2025. We are so proud of our grade 8 students for all of their accomplishments and enjoyed celebrating their send off to high school. We’ll miss you, grade 8s.
