Balaclava School Update – Week of December 9

We are half way through our School Food Drive to gather donations for the Flamborough Food Bank. If your family is able to contribute non perishable food items, we will still be receiving donations until the morning of December 13th. Thank you to everyone who has managed to help out people in our community through this drive.

The Great Gulp is coming! On Friday, December 13th, Balaclava staff and students will be participating in the Great Gulp – we will all be taking a drink of water from a reusable water bottle to help bring awareness to the need for clean water sources and what we can each do to help that cause. We ask all students to come to school with a reusable water bottle on Friday to participate.

There is so much more clothing that students manage to lose at school in the winter months. Wherever possible, please label all clothing items with your child’s name so that fewer items end up unclaimed in our lost and found.
