Balaclava Update – Week of November 11

We have some very creative students at Balaclava. Just this morning I took some pictures of some of their fabulous work and have them here for you to enjoy as well.

It has been another great week at Balaclava. Our classes worked through learning about Treaties Recognition Week in their classes, the junior swim team competed against other schools in Hamilton, and our Junior and Senior volleyball teams finished their regular seasons.

This coming week, three of our volleyball teams will move on to playoffs (Junior Boys, Senior Girls, Senior Boys). Good luck, teams!

On Monday, all of our classes will assemble as we recognize Remembrance Day with a short presentation. All students will be given a poppy to wear for the day. Any student who wishes to bring a small donation for the Royal Canadian Legion’s poppy fund is welcome to give that to their teacher on Monday.
