Revised Pick up Procedures

We understand a number of our families have been impacted due to bus shortages which has led to an increased number of cars in our area during dismissal. In addition we have some families choosing not to use the bus for reasons related to Covid. Together, these conditions are creating significant and unsafe congestion on the 10th Concession. Beginning tomorrow we will try something slightly different at dismissal. Our buses will be kept in the bus lane and will not block the entrance to the school parking lot. Staff will all park in the centre parking row. Parents/caregivers who are picking up are asked to enter the one way driveway, pull into an available parking space (in the row closest to the road). Park, collect your child/ren and exit out the exit driveway using the lane closest to the road only.  Please do not attempt to enter from the exit driveway. We would ask also that all drivers exercise extreme caution while moving vehicles in and around our parking lot. Where possible we do encourage car pooling.

We will monitor this approach for any improvement. Should it help, we will continue with the practice.
