What is Prom Project Hamilton?

Prom Project Hamilton is a “pop-up style” event that provides students the opportunity to pick out formal wear for their proms, graduations, banquets, and other special events, free of charge. This event is open to all students. Please note: Hair and make-up will NOT be offered.

Students interested in attending

Students are required to register for an appointment time and provide the name of their guest, if bringing one. There is a limit of one guest per student. Registration will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Unfortunately, we will NOT accept walk-ins this year. Please be sure to register ahead.

• Host a Prom Project Registration session where students can register online.
• Share the Prom Project Hamilton video with students. It’s a great visual of what students can expect at the event.  Please note that this video was created prior to COVID-19. Prom Project Hamilton 2023 will not offer hair and make-up services.
• Use your school’s website and social media channels to help promote the event and encourage student participation. Be sure to use the hashtag #PPH2023

Staff interested in volunteering

We are seeking individuals to act as personal shoppers, change room attendants, inventory coordinators and seamstresses/tailors. If you would like to volunteer to give a student a day they will not forget, please consider volunteering.

Please note: Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older and not currently a HWDSB student.
