Thank You

Dear Adelaide Hoodless School Community,

I want to extend my sincere and heartfelt thanks for the outpouring of love I received on my final day at Adelaide Hoodless Elementary School. Seeing so many students on their bicycles was incredibly moving.  The clap-off was intense and very emotional.

I spent much of the day cycling between tears and laughter. I received so many hugs from students (and parents/caregivers). The tears were of both sadness and joy. Great memories and absolutely adorable cards from students contributed to the laughter.

I must acknowledge the incredible generosity demonstrated in your cards and gifts. I am slowly making my way through all the cards and gifts. I can only read a few cards at a time as I become very overwhelmed by the kind words. I will be making a donation to the Foundation for Student Success as a thanks to our amazing school community for your kindness. The funds will be earmarked for initiatives to reduce student barriers to trips and to the nutrition program specific to Adelaide Hoodless.

Leaving Adelaide has been very hard for me. I love our school and community. It has been a privilege to watch our community grow together to become a strong and united force.

I know our paths will cross again.  I will be out and about on my bike very regularly throughout the summer and beyond. Our school neighbourhood is one of my favourite places to ride.

Thank you again for everything. You are all simply amazing and your children are exceptional human beings.
