Cross-Country and Parking

Good Afternoon,

Thank you to our staff and parents/caregivers who have supported our cross-country team this year.  Our students in grade 6-8 had an excellent outing to Christie Lake Conservation Area last Friday. Despite the rain, the students had a wonderful time.

Although there isn’t a scheduled meet for cross-country for students in grades 3-5, our coaches provided the students with an opportunity to practice as part of a team.  The students were so excited to finally participated in a team sport!

To honour the commitment and participation, we will be holding a mini cross-country meet Monday, October 25 and Wednesday October 27 after school.  Please be advised the students will be running the perimeter of the playground.

Also, parking continues to be a challenge on the street.  Parking on the east side of the street is by permit only while west side parking/stopping is prohibited.  We need to be respectful of the residents of Springer Avenue and surrounding streets to ensure they are able to move freely to and from their homes.

Parking Enforcement did inform me they will be visiting Adelaide Hoodless sometime next week for an enforcement visit.  Please respect parking by-laws.

Thank you and have a wonderful afternoon.
