Celebrating another Great Year at Westview!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff, students and Westview community for another great year!  We had a wonderful year of learning and growing!

This is also the time of year that we say good-byes to our staff and students as they move on to other opportunities.  We wish our grade 8 graduates continued success in their journey to high school.  We would also like to wish Mr. Ingrassia success in his new system role as a “Student Success” teacher and to Ms. McCue in her expansion to full time teacher at Memorial.  We are sad to say good-bye to Ms. Rezzo, but very happy for her attaining a full time position at Richard Beasley.  Mr. Ourthwaite will be missed as he transitions to a new class at Gatestone.  Lastly, as you may know, Mr. Deans embarks on the new journey of retirement- we wish him the best and look forward to his continued involvement at Westview.

These changes also give us the opportunity to welcome new staff to our Westview family.   We welcome  Mr. Peter Lees who will fill the grade 6 numeracy position and Mr. Mike Feeney who will be teaching grade 7 and 8 numeracy.  Welcome to Mr. Mike O’Hoski to the role of Library/LRT.

Opening day for the 2018-2019 school year will be Tuesday, September 4th at 8:50am.  Staff will meet students on the playground that morning to assist them in finding their classes.

Have a safe and relaxing summer!  We look forward to seeing you in September!

Ms. J. Crapsi, Principal of Westview
