So Many Things to Celebrate!

This morning the staff and students of Westview enjoyed our first monthly assembly! It was an amazing celebration of the positive culture and well being we enjoy in our school. Students in every class were presented with Win-its to celebrate everything from academic achievement, to effort, participation and citizenship!

Thank you to Ms. Dobrowsky and her class for promoting the upcoming Terry Fox Run.. We are looking forward to raising over $2000 to see Mr. Flewelling and Mr. Ingrassia shave their heads! I’m a bit nervous of what costume students have in store for me to wear for a day?!

Thank you to Ms. Gesse and class 6A for sharing your important learning about Digital Citizenship! Your creativity in sharing some very important messages will help us all to me more mindful of our digital footprints!

Our Girls and Boys Baseball teams were also recognized for their participation in the HWDSB tournament. Thank you to Mr. Johnson, Ms. Dobrowsky and Ms. Read for coaching.

Upcoming teams were announced to students and include Volleyball and Cross Country. Thank you to Mr. Johnson, Mr. Ingrassia and Ms. Capretta for making this opportunity possible for our students. Soccer Intramurals start next week during Nutrition Breaks for students who have signed up. Thank you to Mr. Ingrassia for starting this up and for all staff supporting it.
