Goodbye to Students Returning to In-Class

Letter-Remote Goodbye-Oct. 29

October 29, 2020

Dear families transitioning from the Remote Elementary Learning Program,

We want to thank you for having your child be part of the Remote Elementary Learning Program throughout the fall. As we experienced some challenges with devices and staffing, we appreciate the patience you showed as we worked to meet the needs of an overwhelming number of students who chose this method of learning.

As you transition back to an in-class school, we wanted to remind you of a few things to help ease this transition.

Please remember to log into the Parent Portal to complete your attestation form for each child who will be attending school in person next week. This attestation is required to be completed before your child will be able to enter the school.

If you have received a device from HWDSB for the Remote Elementary Learning Program, this device will be locked over the weekend. Please take the device with you to your new school and return it to the main office. We need these devices returned to help support those students on the device waitlist who have remained in our school.

We hope that our new Remote Elementary Learning Program met your and your child’s needs over the last two months and we wish you and your family all the best within HWDSB as you move back into in-class learning.

Sincerely,

Tannis Hamill
