Project SEARCH Hamilton has three host business sites:
The HWDSB Education Centre began in September 2020, followed by the Downtown Hamilton YMCA and YWCA in September 2022. In December 2023, Hamilton Health Sciences became a Project SEARCH partner, hosting a program site at the Ron Joyce Children’s Health Centre and Hamilton General Hospital. All three sites provide positive and enriching experiences for the Interns.
Possible internship experiences may include:
- Customer service
- Administration duties
- Facilities/housekeeping support and grounds maintenance
- Clerical/filing/data entry
- Organizing/cataloguing/maintaining inventory
- Collection and distribution of mail
- Support laundry services
- Youth engagement
- Event preparation
