Project SEARCH Hamilton has three host business sites:
The HWDSB Education Centre site began in September 2020 and moved to the Downtown Hamilton YMCA and YWCA in September 2022. In December 2023, Hamilton Health Sciences became a Project SEARCH partner, hosting our second program at the Ron Joyce Children’s Health Centre and Hamilton General Hospital. Both sites provide positive and enriching experiences for the Interns.
Possible internship experiences may include:
- Customer service
- Administration duties
- Facilities/housekeeping support and grounds maintenance
- Clerical/filing/data entry
- Organizing/cataloguing/maintaining inventory
- Collection and distribution of mail
- Support laundry services
- Youth engagement
- Event preparation
