The very first Spring Valley Meet the Teacher night will happen on Thursday October 3rd, 5:30 to 7 PM. This is an informal evening where families can visit classrooms and speak with staff. There will be no formal presentations.
As part of the selection of ideas for mascot & school colours, the entries created by students will be hung in the halls for families to view. Each family will be given 10 dot stickers, which they can place on entries that they feel would best represent the new Spring Valley Elementary School. These will be used as a guide in the next step toward selecting the best mascot & school colours.
We are excited to announce that we will be hosting a Book Fair as well. Ms. Mancini & Ms. Baatz are looking for some parent volunteers who would be interested in helping set up and assist in running our book fair. We are hopeful to get volunteers to help on the evening of Tuesday October 1st from 4 – 5 pm, both during the day and evening on Thursday October 3rd, and during the morning on Friday October 4th. If you would like to help please send a separate note in your child’s agenda to inform us of your availability. We greatly appreciate your support and we look forward to Spring Valley’s first Book Fair!!
Parking will be the greatest concern during the open house. As most of the staff will be here, there will continue to be limited parking on site. This is a reminder that parking at the Copetown Lions Community Centre is available.
