Well Water at Spring Valley

Parents/Guardians:

Please be aware that we are on well water. The water is perfectly safe and is tested multiple times a day. The standards for well water that the Board follows are quite high. If for any reason the water testing reveals levels below the acceptable level for drinking, our fountains will be be bagged and signs are put up to not drink the water. A water cooler is placed in the hall with bottled water for short-term use.

In most cases, the reason is short term. Adjustments to the equipment, a faulty part or similar problems are the most common reasons. If this is the case, the problem is usually resolved within a day.

In these cases, students can still wash hands.

If there were any situation of greater concern or longevity, parents will be notified.
