Evacuation at Westmount Today

Dear Parents/Guardians,

I am writing to inform you that we had an issue with work taking place on the roof that caused an area of the school to fill with smoke. We immediately evacuated the school.

The fire department was notified immediately and quickly arrived on scene. The fire department inspected the building and placed fans to clear the smoke in the affected area. All students were safe during the evacuation.

We wish to thank the Hamilton Fire Department for their response as well as staff and students for following our safety protocols during this situation.
