Reporting of March 13 Baseline Marks
As per the Ministry of Education, all students will be issued a baseline mark based on work assigned on or before March 13, 2020. Marks should represent the most accurate reflection of student work, based on what is reasonable and in the best interest of students during this unprecedented time.
Teachers of students in Grades 9, 10 and 11 will be emailing a March 13 baseline mark to each student’s HWDSB account on or before Friday, May 15. For students in Grade 12, March 13 baseline marks were emailed to each student’s HWDSB account on or before Wednesday, April 22. If you have questions about your student’s March 13 baseline mark, please contact their classroom teacher.
Final marks will be determined in June based on student performance up to March 13 and from April 6 onwards; however, a student’s final mark will not be lower than the baseline mark established as of March 13. Additional details on the distribution of final marks to students will be shared once it is available.
