Kindness Day at Viscount

Today our students had the opportunity to take part in our Kindness/Anti-Bullying Event held in our auditorium. Each class had a chance to rotate through 5 activities which gave notice to our school motto “It’s Cool to be Kind”!

1. Button making – students had the chance to make their own button with their own or pre-written anti-bullying message
2. Photo-Booth – students had the chance to make memories with new and old friends using a variety of fun props
3. Nail Painting/ Nail Stickers – students had the chance to get one nail painted or choose a nail stickers. Nail polish is non-toxic and water based. This was a sign to let everyone know that “It’s Cool to be Kind”
4. Necklace/Bracelet making – students had the chance to make a bracelet or necklace to remind yourself and others to be kind even when it’s difficult to do so
5.  Art station – students had the chance to colour, draw or make posters with anti-bullying messages

All staff and students signed our “It’s Cool to be Kind” banner which will be hung in our school!

A great big thank you to Mrs. Campello, our Public Health Nurse Ms. Brant, and our VMHL student leaders (Viscount Montgomery Health Leaders) for organizing and putting on this spectacular even to raise awareness!
