Updates from Tiffany Hills Elementary School

As were are approaching March Break, I wanted to put out a few announcements to our students and families:

School Council Meeting:  canceled this month

PA Day:  Friday March 6, 2020  There is no school for students.

Friday After-School Art classes at Tiffany Hills:  Friday Art Classes

Clocks Forward:  On Sunday March 8, 2020 we move to Daylight Savings time;  Change your smoke detector batteries as well!

March Break:  March 16-20, 2020.

Lost & Found items are on display.  We have several lost mittens, snowpants and other valuable clothing items in our lost & found.  Please encourage your child to come to the front foyer and take a look for any items they may be missing.  Parents are welcome to stop in themselves to check for lost clothing.  All items will be donated to charity at the start of March Break.

Please continue to check the Board website and the following link for information regarding the nCoV19 outbreak.  Encourage your children to regularly wash their hands with soap for 20 seconds, cough into their sleeves and if they are unwell, please keep them at home to recover.  We continue to talk to the students about proper hygiene and hand-washing and will follow the directions of HWDSB, Hamilton Public Health and the Ontario Chief Medical Officer.  https://www.hwdsb.on.ca/blog/novel-coronavirus/

Students were challenged this week to count how many times they said thank you to someone.  We discussed making sure our friends, family and teachers know they are appreciated by saying thank you, even for the small, everyday gestures we receive.  I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to our school community and families for their partnership, support and communication to us as we work together to make Tiffany Hills a safe and engaging place for learning.
