Nora Frances Henderson Transition Meetings

As you know, in May 2012, Trustees approved the closure of Barton, Hill Park and Mountain secondary schools and the construction of a new high school on the southeast mountain as the new Nora Frances Henderson Secondary School for students at the current Nora Frances Henderson, Helen Detwiler, Ray Lewis, Pauline Johnson, Ridgemount (south of the Linc), Templemead, C.B. Stirling.

Nora Frances Henderson is located southwest of the intersection of Rymal and Upper Sherman. The new school will accommodate 1,250 students from Grade 9 to 12 in an approximately 166,000 square foot three storey secondary school. Nora Frances Henderson’s learning spaces allow students to work together and help each other learn. The school also includes an artificial turf field with a track.

A Transition Committee is being formed to support a smooth transition of students who will be attending the new school in September. Please read the following Transition Letter to learn about the dates and times of the upcoming transition meetings.
