Social Media & Online Safety Parent/Caregiver Presentation

Social Media Night

April 25 7:00-8:30

Dr. Behnke-Cook earned her Ph.D. from McMaster
University, and completed a post-doctoral fellowship
with the Faculty of Medicine, McMaster University.
She is adjunct faculty at the University of Guelph,
writes and implements youth risk behaviour
interventions for Boards of Education in the Province
of Ontario, and is a motivational and inspirational
speaker and coach. The central message of her talk
is that youth require information, guidance, and
support to make their way safely through
adolescence. While the use of social media and
technology is considered virtually a “must” for many
young people, it can and does have a significant
impact on young people’s lives, relationships and
sense of self. This session will be interactive in nature
and Dr. Behnke-Cook looks forward to addressing
the questions and concerns of parents and other
members of the Tapleytown community regarding
the teen-life on-line. ALL ARE WELCOME!!

RSVP to Tapleytown School by Tuesday April 23, 2019 or respond online via https://bit.ly/ProRSVP
