Welcome everyone to Spring Valley Elementary!

At present, our website is going to be very bare bones, but we will be adding to it very quickly. Right now, we a concentrating on the most vital information for starting up.

As of yett present, we are not able to send home messages via School Messenger. So, it would be helpful for you to pass on news to parents to check this site. Please subscribe as well, as this will be the primary method of whole school communication.

On Tuesday, school begins. Staff have been in all week getting rooms ready. Portables are ready. We have a new paved yard! We are ready to go for Day One of Spring Valley!

We are asking that all students begin on the bus from the first day. There is no parking for parents/guardians on school property. We have 8 busses and there is no room for other vehicles.

Parking is legal in front of the school where the white lines are, but Governor’s road is extremely busy and I do not recommend it, especially for younger students. You may use the lower gravel parking lot at the Copetown community centre, but it is a good walk to the school from there. There is a sidewalk, however.

Staff will be present at the arrival of the busses to take students from the bus to either the Kindergarten or main playgrounds. There, students will be met by staff. At the bell, they will be escorted into class lines. Classroom staff will have signs and staff not assigned to classes will be around to help any students who are not sure where they should be. No students will be left alone. The students who know their new teacher by sight will have no trouble finding them.

If you have not heard from Transportation yet, make sure you call them for times. There are many new routes, so please make sure.

We completely understand the worries of having students come into a new situation, but please reassure them that the staff are here to keep them safe and they will be into the routine of things in no time.
