Instruments are provided in all music courses, including guitar, piano, and instrumental music. Students may also bring their own instruments to play if they wish.
The level 1 guitar class is designed for students who have little or no previous experience playing the guitar.
AMG3O1 – Level 2
The level 2 guitar class is a continuation of the level 1 course. The focus is on playing different styles, playing with other instruments, and combining chords & scales.
AMK2O1 Piano Keyboard
The piano keyboard class is an introductory music class for students with little or no previous experience on the piano. Students will learn to play the piano on a 61-key electric piano.
This course is for students who have never played a band instrument or may have played one in elementary school but did not achieve a high level of performance. It is also appropriate for students in grade 10 or above who have forgotten many basic playing principles such as fingerings on their instrument.
This course is for students who played a band instrument in grade 7 and 8 and would be considered at the advanced performance level.
This is an open course for students with little or no experience on a band instrument.
This is a continuation of the AMU1O1E course.
Prerequisite for this course is AMU2O1E. By taking AMU2O1 first semester and AMR2O1 second semester, students can take instrumental music for a full year.

Prerequisite for this course is AMR2O1 unless approved by the instructor.
This is a College and University level course that can be counted towards your average, whether applying to college or university. Prerequisite is AMU3M1.
