Reorganization at SWO -Oct 7, 2022

Dear Parents/Guardians of Sir William Osler School,                                                          Fri. Sept. 30, 2022

Each fall, HWDSB reviews elementary student enrolment in schools and reorganizes staffing if actual enrolment differs from spring projections.  It is normal for student enrolment to fluctuate a little.  Fall reorganization is also a result of the ongoing need to meet provincial class size requirements.

At Sir William Osler, we are not gaining nor losing a class, however, to meet provincial class size requirements, we will have the following changes effective Friday October 7th.

Educators/classes that will have a change of class assignments:

  • Ms. Forman’s class will change from 3/4A to 3A.
  • Ms.Neely’s class will change from 5A to 4/5A.
  • Mme. Alavata’s (LTO-Mme. Beale) class will change from F6/7A to F6B.
  • A fond farewell to Ms. Dunsiger (K-JSC) …HWDSB’s newest Reading Specialist, and a very warm welcome to Ms. McCulloch as the new educator in K-JSC (as of October 7th).

Thirty-one students will also have a change to their current class placement and/or educator effective Friday October 7, 2022. On September 29th, the Principal notified the parents/guardians of students that will be experiencing a change to their current class assignment.

As always, Sir William Osler staff will continue work diligently to share experiences and opportunities for all students to achieve educational success, and a sense of belonging and well-being during this school year. We apologize for any disruption this may cause, and truly appreciate your support and understanding.

Sincerely your partners in learning,

Tracy Walsh    &     Umar Qureshi

Principal                  Vice Principal
