Health Action Team
Fruity Tutti Wednesdays have been a success! Our HAT team sold about 100
fruit kebabs each week for the past three weeks.  Money raised from the sales of the fruit will go toward purchasing a hydration station for the school. We will be completing a survey about this initiative and use the results when planning for May and June.

Ducklings
The ducklings will be hatching at the beginning of May. Students have been eagerly choosing names for the new arrivals. Name ballots are being sold by Mrs. Whillier’s students daily at the cost of 25 cents each or 5 for a loonie. Names will be drawn as ducklings hatch. Money raised will be used to purchase feed and bedding.

Earth Day Activities
Class 1B has discussing the earth and the impact that people have on their environment. The snow has finally melted and students started to noticed the garbage left behind. They decided they wanted to do a classroom clean up. We worked in groups to pick up the the trash and came back in and looked at some of the trash we found. Overall we found most of the garbage could have been recycled!

In the classroom, we noticed that quite a number of our broken crayons
were not being used anymore. Instead of throwing them out we decided to peel the labels off and make new rainbow crayons!
