Notification of Immunization Suspension
Over the past few weeks, some families received notification from the Public Health Vaccine Program regarding missing information about your child’s vaccines. The Public Health Department has the authority to issue orders of suspension for students who are not in compliance under the “Immunization of School Pupils Act”.
Please know that this order of suspension must be enforced by the Principal until the school has been notified directly by Public Health that the order has been rescinded. The school cannot contact Public Health on your behalf.
If you received notification from Public Health regarding missing information about your child’s vaccines, please contact Public Health immediately to ensure that your child does not receive an order of suspension for up to twenty (20) school days. (Suspensions are likely to begin May 23rd, 2019.)
