Saltfleet Graduation 2020

Saltfleet’s Graduation is scheduled for Thursday June 25th, 2020 4:00 pm at the McIntyre Center, Mohawk College.

2020 Graduation Checklist

Please refer to the 2020 Grad Checklist for important information and deadlines! Only potential 2020 graduates will be able to order a gown in order to walk across the stage at the Commencement Ceremony on Thursday, June 25, 2020. Gown pick up times, tickets, parking and arrival time to be posted shortly.

 All of the following requirements must be met to be considered a potential grad of 2020:

  • You must have earned a minimum of 26 credits by end of semester 1.
  • You must be scheduled to take the remaining courses needed to complete the 18 compulsory credits and the 12 optional credits for a total of 30 credits by mid-term semester 2.
  • You must have submitted documentation of 40 hours of community volunteer activities by March 23rd, 2020.
  • You must have successfully completed the Provincial Secondary School Literacy Requirement or be scheduled to take the literacy test or the literacy course.

We are very proud of the commencement we are able to provide for the Saltfleet community. To run such an event takes countless hours and volunteers as well as some funds. As a result there is a fee attached of $40 which covers the expenses of: graduation breakfast, gown purchase, cap and tassel, graduation program, tickets and invitation, flowers for the ceremony, music for the ceremony, ceremony facility rental, post-ceremony reception and postage. Should you be unable to pay the fee in full or part please contact the Student Services department.  ***All payments must be made via Cash on line. The link is appended below.   The deadline for purchase is April 18th.

No extra gowns will be ordered.

A gown must be worn in order to walk across the stage.  $40 fee payable on our online system must be submitted by the due date or students will be charged a $10 late fee. Gowns will not be sold to students who have not met the graduation requirements.

Ticket sales for Grad Dinner-Dance Tickets will be sold for $60 via the online cash system. You must meet graduation requirements to participate.   Cash on Line Apr 22 – May 3
Grad Breakfast Breakfast will be served in the cafeteria for all potential 2020 graduates. May 29
Valedictorian Election Voting will take place during Grad Breakfast. May 29

Commencement Ceremony To be held at the McIntyre Performing Arts Centre, Mohawk College. Each graduate will receive a minimum of 2 tickets for guests to attend. No additional tickets or swaps are available through the school. Potential Graduates should arrive dressed in their gown and report to the auditorium no later than 3:oo pm. Thursday, June 25th, 4:00pm
