Incident at Saltfleet today

Dear families,

We want to inform you about a situation at Saltfleet today that required police involvement.

An altercation between youth in the community led to a group of non-students entering our school. Police were immediately called and are investigating.

We are reviewing this incident and want you to know that student and staff safety is of the utmost importance. The school remains a safe place for students to learn and staff to work. We thank Hamilton Police Service (HPS) for attending our school.

This situation may make students anxious or upset. If so, you may want to refer to tips for adults supporting children and youth after distressing events. Students and families are encouraged to reach out to staff for support.
