Welcome Back Message

Hello & Welcome Back Ray Lewis Legends!

We hope that all of our families have had a safe and relaxing summer!  We want everyone to know that we are working very hard as a school team in preparation for the reopening of the school. We are looking forward to having our school community return to school safely. In addition to the emails that were sent home today we have included some of that same information below for families to review.

Parent Portal
The deadline to indicate if your child will be participating in in-person or remote schooling in September has been extended until Thursday, August 27 at 11:59pm.

The parent portal can be accessed here: https://www.hwdsb.on.ca/parent/

If you aren’t able to log-in on the parent portal, please fill out the “Alternate Method to Select Elementary In-Person or Remote Learning” at the top of that same page.

Communication

We strongly encourage families to refer to the information posted on the HWDSB Website COVID-19: School Reopening 2020-21 if you have any questions or concerns. The updates to families that are provided through Communications that are posted on the boards main webpage are excellent so please be sure to check them out! HWDSB Start-Up Plan

The August 25, 2020 update to families includes the following start dates:

Tues Sept 8/Wed Sept 9 – These dates will be for the students who require special education supports and/or support with transitions and/or mental health. We will be reaching out to families of these students to set-up times for individual visits (not full days at school) and families are welcome to call the school if they feel their child may need to access additional support before they return to school.

Thurs Sept 10/Mon Sept 14 – Students with the last names beginning with A-K will attend.

Fri Sept 11//Tues Sept 15 – Students with the last names beginning with L-Z will attend.

We will continue to share information as we receive it and will send it out via School Messenger and post updates on the school’s website.

We look forward to seeing all of our Ray Lewis students in the next few weeks!
