Picking Up Belongings Update

As you know, schools must remain closed for the rest of the school year due to COVID-19. We have worked with Hamilton Public Health Services so that students can retrieve personal items from our schools.  Access to Ray Lewis School will be offered:

Thursday, June 4 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm

Friday, June 5 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm

Beginning June 2 at 8 a.m., families can begin signing up for a 15-minute visit to the school.

Please note: The link to book will be located on this school website. There will be a tab on the top of the school website called “Booking Calendar.” Parents/guardians will need to know their child’s homeroom class/teacher.

If you have more than one child, you will need to book multiple times.

Elementary students can enter the building with one parent/guardian/caregiver to clean out their locker/cubby. To help families gather their belongings quickly, personal items in each student’s desk will be packed and left in a bag on their desk. If a parent has more than one child attending the school, they must book different times for each child.

What Should We Bring With Us?

Teaching and learning continues until June 26th so you should keep the iPad, if deployed by the school to you and any other things your child’s teacher has indicated.  Please bring:

  • any library books/materials that your child won’t need in June
  • something to carry contents of lockers/hooks/cubbies
  • musical instrument if signed out
