Brave Education – Anti-Bullying Training
Queen Victoria has booked an anti-bullying program for all our grade 1-8 students. Bernie Custis Secondary school and most of its feeder schools are using Brave Education (a company focused on teaching Conflict Resolution Strategies) to come in and provide in-class workshops for each classroom. The workshops are tailored to meet the division or age of students and uses a hands-on, interactive, facilitation approach to the subject matter. The training will be taking place March 4th, March 5th, and March 26th.
Lesson 1 will focus on conflict resolution skills such as:
1) Walk Away
2) Talk Away
3) Block Away
In the first session , students will learn how to identify bullying behaviour and how to diffuse bullying situations by using these 3 fundamental skills.
