First Week

Dear Families,

The first week of school is over! It was such a joy to welcome back returning students and meet new families and students.

We want to draw your attention to some important reminders about student supervision and safety:

• Please note that there is no stopping /parking in front of the school on Melrose. We need to keep that area clear as it is a school bus loading zone and stopping there is a Hamilton By-law infraction. Thanks for your attention to this.

• Supervision on the north and south playgrounds starts at 8:15 a.m. The entry bell rings at 8:30 a.m., whereupon students enter the building. If you are later than this time, please use the front doors.

• Only students in grades 7 and 8 are allowed to go out for lunch during second nutrition break, and with a signed permission form. Students need to return to the playground in time for the 1:10 p.m. entry bell.

• The breakfast program begins this week, at 8:00 a.m. daily.

Our school council nomination forms are on our website: please fill this out if you are interested in volunteering on our school council. Our elections will be held on Monday, September 23^rd at 10:10 a.m. In the nutrition room.
