HWDSB Safe Schools:

We live in a society of rules and regulations that guide our lives. As children grow, they will be expected to respect these rules and regulations. That is why schools work so hard to teach the discipline of respect. Children need to establish a solid set of skills that will enable them to respect rules and regulations, to solve problems in a positive, productive manner, and develop attitudes and habits that will enable them to be successful in all areas of life. We evaluate students on these skills and require them to be studied in school. We also provide opportunities for children to practice them.
