May Principal’s Message

Hello Norwood Park Families,

Here we are at the end of May! We have been enjoying the warmer, sunnier days and we know that summer is just around the corner.

As we wait for direction from the Ministry of Education and HWDSB to learn what our last month of school will look like, there is a lot to talk about as we enter our last month of the 2020-2021 school year.

Vice Principal Announcement

It is with mixed emotions I am announcing Mme Giles is moving on to the next stage in her leadership journey effective September 1, 2021.

Mme Giles has been dedicated to supporting two schools throughout an incredibly challenging year. She has worked to ensure student well-being and success. Mme Giles’ contributions to our school and community have been most appreciated and we will miss her.

We wish Mme Giles all the best as she joins Lawfield Elementary school as their Vice Principal this fall.

Norwood Park will be welcoming Mme Miscas as our new Vice Principal effective September 1, 2021.   Mme Miscas comes to us from Lawfield Elementary School. We look forward to welcoming her to Norwood Park in September.

Grade 8 Graduation

While we are awaiting direction from the Ministry of Education and the board to finalize all the details, we can share that we will be celebrating the graduation of our grade 8s on Monday, June 21st

This celebration will include a virtual presentation that can be shared and watched with families. Our grade 8 teachers will be sharing more information with our students and families in the next two weeks.
