Principal Update – May 2020

Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),

As we welcome the month of May and focus on distance learning with the Ministerial order keeping schools closed for the month, our school team has been providing our students with programming to keep them learning and engaged at home. We thank you for your continued support and guidance as your child experiences learning through digital platforms and the use of technology.

This week marks Education week and Mental Health week honouring the importance of ongoing learning and its creativity from home combined with prioritizing mental health awareness. We are mindful that distance learning requires a shift in mindset for both students and our families. Placing an awareness and balancing both aspects are important for everyone.

We look forward to sharing our student work and encourage you to follow us on twitter and subscribe to our school website which has our live twitter feed on the home page.

Our Character Education focus for the month of May is Acceptance with a focus on interacting with others without bias, prejudice or discrimination. We stand up for human rights and make everyone welcome and a part of our school community!

On behalf of the Mount Hope school team, we wish you all the best welcoming spring and warmer temperatures during the month of May!

Stay safe and take care,
Ms. N. Radojevic – Principal
