Principal Update -April

Dear Mount Hope students and families,

As we face our current pandemic and our responsibility to prioritize health and safety through social and physical distancing, my hope is that our school community is doing well and adjusting to the changes to our lifestyle.

Over the past few weeks our school team has invested time in professional learning opportunities to allow them to engage and connect with our families and students through distance learning.

We have just completed our first official week with the Ministry’s directive to focus on Literacy, Numeracy, Science & Social Studies (History/Geography). As our school team develops their skills and collaborates together, students will have opportunities to access the curriculum to support learning and engagement at home. Students have different styles of learning and our team will do their best to accommodate and provide flexibility for your child to meet with success.

Please continue to rely on communication sent from the board through our school website for updates.  Thank you for the input you provided to your child’s teacher with regards to the requirements for distance learning.  A process will be in place for the deployment of devices for our students in need next week.

For our families celebrating Easter and Passover this weekend, customs & traditions will likely be celebrated in many different & creative ways.  On behalf of the Mount Hope team, we wish you an enjoyable long weekend. Stay safe, take care and Happy Easter!

Our families and students are missed dearly. We truly understand how challenging the current situation is for all of you, however in order to come together safely in the future, we must stay apart for now.

Thank you for your continued patience, flexibility and understanding as we continue to learn & grow through distance learning.

Sincerely,

Ms. N. Radojevic, Principal
