February 2020 Update

To our Mount Hope Families,

During the month of February we are focusing our learning on the character trait of Empathy! Our students are being exposed to learning how to show empathy by putting themselves in someone else’s shoes.  We look forward to celebrating our empathy at our next Character Ed. assembly held on Monday March 2nd at 9 a.m. We welcome our parent(s) and guardian(s) to attend as we will launch our new trait for the month of March as well.

Please visit our board website for Labour updates that share information about the present situation and how your child’s progress from the Term 1 report card can be communicated to you by your child’s teacher.  Feel free to contact your child’s teacher via the agenda or contacting the school to learn about how your child has progressed throughout the first term.  Please contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions or concerns about their progress to date.  Keeping lines of communication open between home and school is important.  We value the importance of team work to help your child reach their full potential!

Our classrooms are relying on the use of our new technology to accelerate their learning with class sets of netbooks accessible to each student!  It has been great to see our students immersed in new programming &  acquiring new skills through the use of our netbooks.  These learning opportunities have been made possible thanks to our families and the community support through fundraising.  It has made an impact on the learning environment at Mount Hope!

We hope all of our families enjoyed Family day weekend spending time with loved ones.  Enjoy the rest of February as we look forward to warmer months and the upcoming Spring season.

Sincerely, Mount Hope Administrative Team
